A happy Neo after winning a match at ESWC 2007
Name: Filip Kubski
Age: 20
Location: Poznan, Poland
Current Team: PGSPokerStrategy.com
Past Teams: STER, SPECNAZ, SpecSter

Hi Filip, what is your most memorable gaming experience (in or out of game)?

Probably the whole Games Convention, e-sport awards and enc finals.

What about your most memorable match or in-game moment?

Winning 1on2 situation in the last round against NiP with 1hp, which gave us a 16:14 win. That was on the internet though. On LAN probably pistol round as CT on nuke against NoA at WCG.

Aside from Counter-Strike, are there any other games that you like to play?

No I don't play any other games, just Counter-Strike. Maybe sometimes when I find some game interesting I try it, but that happens rarely. Last game I've played was Gears of War, and The Godfather. Online it was Quake3.

Stepping away from gaming altogether, what do you do in your spare time?

At the moment I am having my vacation, but we are preparing for WCG qualifier so I just chill during the day and in the evening we are having our trainings. Then if it's not too late maybe I go out.

Do you currently attend school or work?

I've just had my final exams and I'm thinking about studying right now.

Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, and Jessica Biel are trapped in a burning building and you can only save one of them. Which one would you save?

My own ass and a pack of cheetos.

Favorite food?

Kebab. Or my mum's.

Favorite movie?

There's too much to pick one. Se7en, The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Snatch.

Quick and easy. Who are your top 5 CS 1.6 players in the world as of now.

f0rest, cogu, moon, zonic, ruuit

When did you first start playing Counter-Strike? Who was your first team?

It was about 8 years ago, my dad had CS from our neighbor, who was working at a company named STER, which was the name of my first clan. I started playing CS together with my dad, we both joined that team. After splitting up with that team we created SPECNAZ together with my dad. Then after being top2 we decided to make changes and that's how SpecSter (2S) was created. Finally we got top1 in Poland, with my father as a team manager. After some players losing motivation we've decided to connect two best teams in Poland, and that is how Pentagram ConneXion, nowadays known as PGS was created.

Arvline:Where does the nickname "Neo" come from and why did you decide to use it?

Unfortunately.. Matrix. I thought it was cool about 8 years ago. :|

Spetznaz_1:What is it about CS that got you into it competitively as opposed to the Quake series for which the Polish are renowned?

CS was the second game I've tried to play on the internet (first was Unreal Tournament). And I liked it so much that I still play it. After playing some years of CS I've tried Quake series. I've used to play Quake3 online a lot, when we didn't play that much as a team. Now I am playing only CS.

r3aL:How did you perform at your first big LAN event and how do you feel you have improved over the years?

I don't know what kind of LAN is 'big' for you. Probably PG Challenge in Czech Republic which was about 5 years ago. We placed 4th as far as I remember, as 2S. Then it was WCG finals in Korea 2003, where we didn't manage to pass the group stage.
