eMazing Gaming Michael "che" Guevara Scott "evolution Cavallero Matthew Beahan Rob "phobius" Irey Nazar "steno" Vynnytsky Shaun "Hostile" CautronUnfortunately, Lim suffered a collapsed lung a few days ago, and is currently in the hospital. He is doing alright, but he will not be able to make at least the group portion of the event. eMg is trying to find out if Lim does get the okay from his doctors to fly, if he will even be allowed to sub in after that point. Filling in for him will be Hostile, who was recently dropped from the Check-Six lineup. eMg is scurrying to bring him into the loop on their tactics, and are preparing for the worst case scenario: Lim being unable to attend the entire event, and using hostile for the duration. Looking at their group, there is absolutely no reason why they won't win it. Beyond that is really a toss up. If they are able to have Lim play after the group, they will have a better chance just based on the impact that he provides. He is probably the most underrated player on the team. eMg is hoping that their friendship with hostile out of game will correlate to success in game, which it very well may. Group C meet Your makers Preben "prb" Gammelsæter Sondre "REAL" Svanevik Geir-Stian "juve9le" Svendsen Øyvind "KF3" Magnestad Matis "noLA" NygrenMeet Your Makers is a team with a lot of pressure heading into this tournament. Their roster is pulsing with untapped talent. Glancing over the team, mYm has players who are eager to prove themselves on the international scene. While their players are not unknown, most of them have not had much success in the past. The biggest problem for mYm is that they will be without their most notable player and team captain in Ola “elemeNt” Moum. Also adding to the trouble for mYm is that their roster is extremely new, with two of their players joining the team no more than a month ago. This team has the possibility of being one of the sleepers for this tournament, since nobody has been able to see them play with this roster before and it may allow them to catch several teams off-guard. It will be interesting to see if they will be able to get in enough practice and chemistry before going to this tournament and whether or not juvenile will be able to fill elemeNt’s shoes. Despite everything going against this team, they are all excellent individual players and are ready to compete. This team can beat some of the best teams in the world, and could potentially place very well depending on how effectively they have practiced. Group D Team Germany Navid “Kapio” Javadi Manuel “tixo” Makohl Benjamin "pan" von Mulert Jan "mooN" Stolle Roman "roman" AusserdorferThis squad is a talented mix of individuals who will attempt to "wing" their way through the tournament in Seattle. Three of the five are from the dominate ALTERNATE aTTax, followed by two mouz stars. They will attempt to bring their chemistry into play within the rest of the team to help with the communication. With the amount of experience they have all endured, you can be sure their overall ability will push them together through group play to get the ball rolling. Even though team Germany is a pug they are still very, very dangerous. Moon is one of the most dominant in-game leaders in the world. With Kapio's aggressive style of play and the raw skill of paN, roman, and TiXo, this team poised to do major damage. The only thing that could hurt this team is if Moon decides to not input his strategic ideas due to the fact that he's attending WCG with Mouz team members. Kapio and Tixo have been dominating in EPS as they are currently undefeated with mouz, as are aTTax. An early couple wins can put the team on the fast track to developing quick teamwork. If the Germans can mold their talent with each other and work off some basic strategies, they can coast through group play before having to jump some hurdles. wNv.cn Chao "Aqi" Zhang Hao "bigun" Huo Likan "K|ng'Z" Luo Run Bo "sakula" Wu Bin "Savage" LiuAfter WNV.GM won WEG, no Chinese team has been able to duplicate the same type of international success. Rumors of them ghosting by using some type of relay between spectator and player circulated amongst the top teams after repeated failures at LANs out side their own country. This rumor has unfortunately been passed on to the CN squad. Their unique, over aggressive style of play caught teams off guard in the past, but now teams are on the lookout. All this frustration led to WNV swapping players from their .CN farm team to their main .GM squad. In story book fashion, the farm team has become the better team despite all the setbacks they have endured, and now are headed to Seattle to prove their squad is a world class team. Like all the teams mentioned, they should have no problem getting out of their group. They should be able to advance relatively far in the brackets as well, assuming they are able to add some variety to their game. |
