6th - CEVO Pro Season 6

They made their first appearance in Season 6 and now they are back. Not bad with a 7-7 record and placing top five for the first time. With the amount of teams that slacked off last season, it won't be as easy to place top five with the larger number of teams. They hardly practiced last season and managed to rely on aim to take them as far as they needed to go. Judging by the roster, they might have found a stable fifth to get the ball rolling.

United States Frank "illuzion" Liccardo
United States George "krb" Gonzalez
United States Richard "Iza" Levy
United States Santos "HeLLScreaM" Torres

Recent Accomplishments

3rd - CEVO Main Season 6

Another new team to the national scene, Darkside and company will want to start things off early. Not much of a past between the players seeing how the last event DarkSide attended was the WCG PanAm 2007. With that in mind, the roster has been completley revamped since then. After struggling through the placement, they were able to win their group and get a chance to win some money. RJ "rulER" Quinn-Simons was released shortly after due to conflict with the team.

Evil Geniuses

Canada Ian "royle" Royle
Canada Robert "blackpanther" Tyndale
Canada Jesse "quickshot" Stevenson
Canada Austin "cole" Townley
Canada Evan "evaN" Ahlberg

Recent Accomplishments

1st - WCG Canada 2007

The Canadian powerhouse will need to break out of the slump they are in. They were able to win WCG Canada to continue onto Seattle but left shortly after, losing in group play. Since the release of their old 1.6 squad, they have yet to place top ten in CEVO. If they could just put in a lot more practice and keep that roster intact, then their chemistry will continue to be solid as they make that extra effort. Something needs to change if they want to place well this season.

Recent Accomplishments

1st - CEVO Main Season 6

This team has a history for being known as "online" to most of the community. Claiming some of their pride back, they went on to win CEVO Intermediate in Season 5, and Main this past season. With some players hailing from as far as Hawaii, they will have a tough time with east teams on central servers this season. Few of the players made a pug for the KODE5 USA Regional Qualifiers this past weekend and were quickly knocked out after two matches in a double-elimination format. During group play in the Placement Tournament, they struggled with AYB and e0s but managed to take their group by a slim margin. Only time will tell how this team will fit in with the rest of the competition.
