Counter-Strike: Mirror joins CAP

By: Luis Mira - Published October 13, 2007 at 4:26 PM EDT - Writer Archive
CAP has confirmed Mirror squad as the Danish Counter-Strike team.
The Danish team has been looking for a new organisation to play for since it parted company with Ministry of Defence in mid-July. Mirror, one of the two teams that secured a place in KODE5 Germany Regional Finals in today's qualifier, was in need of a stable partner to help the team grow in stature. Mirror manager Josef "Sephcat" Olesen is delighted for his team to have joined CAP and believes that this deal will strenghten the squad.

"We have been without a sponsor for almost 2 months, and with me taking care of all the administrative tasks, and trying to get a sponsor, I failed at getting the sponsor deal we so desperately needed," Olesen said. "CAP can provide us with solid fundamentals and a strong organization, giving the team the necessary support."

Although the Danish side participated in the KODE5 qualifier with two stand-ins, Alexander "ave" Holdt of NoA and Patrick "NervoN" Paaske of Spirit of Amiga, Olesen denied any reports suggesting roster changes in the team.

"We will attend KODE5 Germany with our regular line-up in Dortmund this December, today we had ave and nervon as stand-ins because two of our players, caution and Friis, were unable to compete."

The Danish team should have its official debut for CAP against NoA this Sunday, October 14th, for DEL.

The CAP Counter-Strike team is as follows:

Denmark Daniel "anizz" Aniff
Denmark Casper "cautioN" Skaaning
Denmark Casper "Lapez" Thunø
Denmark Martin "trace" Heldt
Denmark Michael "Friis" Jørgensen
