Counter-Strike: virtus.pro de_train playbook

By: eric austin knutson - Published October 15, 2007 at 8:25 AM EDT - Writer Archive
GotFrag's Eric Austin Knutson playbooks the Russian powerhouse, Virtus.pro on de_train.

While Virtus.pro had been out of the spotlight for a while, they are certainly back after signing two Ukrainian stars, Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko and Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev. With this lineup, Virtus has been simply dominant, winning the last two tournaments that they have participated in. After tearing through the regional competition at the ASUS Summer cup, they proved that they are one of the top teams in Eastern Europe. Following up that event with a huge win at the Intel Challenge Cup, over teams like CMAX, MiBR, and Alternate aTTax, they even gave a glimpse of how they might perform on the international level.

Most recently, the three Russians on the team participated as a pug at the World Cyber Games Finals, where they took home an astounding 5-8th place. With their recent stellar play, we have decided to take a look at their strategies and setups on de_train.

Virtus.pro Roster:
Russia Aleksey "LeX" Kolesnikov
Ukraine Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko
Ukraine Ioan "Edward" Sukhariev
Russia Roman "ROMJkE" Makarov
Russia Viktor "Sally" Filimonchenko

I really don't like the fact Gotfrag run such stories. If you want to make counter tactics, then the teams should be making this kind of effort on their own.
