Can walle bring back the fire to SK? This weekend he might have all the answers in Los Angeles. ![]() The team has its work cut out though, with a couple of very limited weeks of practice before they face off against the likes of Fnatic, PGS and Roccat. How has practice been for you? This is a new team, did it take long for you to mesh together? - It is hard to tell. There is an issue with finding practice partners in Europe, this force us to play the same teams over and over again – that’s not an ideal situation but I would say we have done what we could with the time that was at our disposal. I’ve had a good feeling during the games and I hope this is enough preparation for the though opponents we face “over there.” Adhering to several of the statements made about the recent attempts at building a stable powerhouse wearing the famous SK logo has described the style of play as “improvised” and “skill focused.” Wallenberg is a force of change. How did you approach your role as the in-game leader? Is there a change in SK-dogma now? Will the team go back to playing more methodical and "boring" to get consistent results? - We are not as “random” as the previous SK and / or NiP lineups from my point of view. There has been a lot of emphasis on individual skill and improvisation in those teams but I would not call our current style boring. It’s fast and occasionally aggressive but we are going to try to stick to our regular tactics – and we’ll see how far they can carry us. The addition of the leader Wallenberg and the consistent “Tentpole” to star trio “Spawn”, “allen” and “RobbaN” had the Swedish fans and world-wide community foaming at the mouth. Four of them are considered season veterans and “allen” is getting there, still they spell quality with every iota of their in-game personas. Has any particular player been shining brighter than the others at practice? Is there a possible MVP in this team for this tournament in your opinion? - This doesn’t really matter. Everyone has played well during practice and I just hope we can “click” when it counts the most. Fnatic fumbled for the first time in over 20 months. Can their downfall at WCG to an, arguably, weaker opponent, and two subsequent weeks in Los Angeles without sufficient practice create the opportune moment for SK to take back the throne of Swedish Counter-Strike? I know you guys are gunning to be considered the best in Sweden again. How do you rate Fnatic’s misfortunes in Seattle and how will it impact your chances at beating them? - They are a very good team but the first matches will be the key for them. If they can pick up some momentum here the other issues they are dealing with will not matter that much. Wallenberg also admits they have a strong desire to represent SK the way a CS team should. - The team has high expectations for ourselves but of course, we also want to play well for SK. The pressure on the five professional gamers is considerable. They have to rebuild the brand, and they have to do it fast. There is a sixth player, the young and extremely talented “Get_Right”, lurking in the wings, anxious to be let into the ring if someone fails to hold their own. Do you, as the team’s captain, fear that a bad first event – which is not uncommon with new lineups – can create another string of roster controversies? - It’s nothing I think about going into the tournament. If it ever were to happen it’s something I will have to deal but my head is in the game going to LA. The story lines leading up to the exciting event will all unravel over the weekend. If there ever was a reason to watch SK play Counter-Strike – this is it. |

SpawN - coming back to the top
RobbaN - just insane
alleN - incredible and can only go up
walle - his name says it all
Tentpole - clutch king and all around superstar
This will be a hard to beat team.
tentpole is solid
As walle said when it counts the most if they click then its going to be hard to stop them from beating a few of the top team/teams
NNNNOOOOO!
btw gl walle gl SK
striker - great aim he to, and was getting better and better, but far from stabil
spawn - on of the best aimers of the world.
Tentpole - stabil, typ Naikon style
Robban - stabil, when in shape, never has a bad match.
allen - stabil and insane aim.
walle - awp master and in-game leader
so the lineup looks allot better now, not as unstabil as the old lineup. I think SK will take #1 place this time.
Please get off him.
