Counter-Strike: EYE removes threat, Rwa

By: Luis Mira - Published October 23, 2007 at 3:19 PM EDT - Writer Archive
EYEBALLERS has confirmed the departures of Anders "Rwa" Svensson and Bjorn "threat" Pers.
The Swedish team performed poorly recently, finishing in fifth place at KODE5 Sweden. More recently, EYEBALLERS failed to qualify for KODE5 Germany, where they lost to TBH.eSports in the Lower Final, and placing sixth at SLAP LIVE #13, following a 16-6 loss to the Finnish team, CMAX.gg.

According to Pers, the recent drought of good results made the team part ways with both players.

"This was a team decision, after three bad events, we knew that something had to be done," Pers told GotFrag.com. "Rwa and I were in-game leaders, so they wanted to try some more "mad" players, that's why we had to leave, I guess."

When questioned about the future of the two players, Pers confessed not to know what Svensson will do, but stressed that he is already seeking a new squad to play for.

EYEBALLERS now has a three-man roster, but the announcement of their new players is expected shortly, as the Swedish squad is scheduled to participate in the KODE5 Denmark qualifier, which starts on Friday.

EYEBALLERS now has the following roster:

Sweden Ruben "get!" Hellberg
Sweden Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson
Sweden Niklas "Nikolaus" Johansson
