Counter-Strike: Snajdan barred from EM play

Lu�s "MIRAA" Mira sits down with Andreas "bds" Thorstensson about the situation of Mattias "Snajdan" Andersen.

The Swedish player announced on Friday his return to competitive play, almost six months after departing from the SK Gaming starting-five to become inactive.

Andersen would have his official debut for myLegend, his new team, this Monday, for the Swedish Extreme Masters Qualifier, but the squad ended up abandoning the tournament without making a single game.

According to Thorstensson, Andersen is still contracted to SK Gaming, and may not play in competitions where SK Gaming is participating.

"He is under a contract with SK, we allowed him to play for another team as long as he does not participate in tournaments we are in," Thorstensson told GotFrag.com.

According to SK Gaming boss, Andersen's contract will expire on January 1st 2008, after which he is free to play for myLegend in any competition.

Seriously, a contract is a contract. Players respecting them plays an integral part of the growth of e-Sports. And you morons bashing on SK because they used their rights over Snajdan need to see that.

#13 They didn't put him on the SK starting 5, it's not like he didn't want to honor his contract. It would have been better if SK just released him, rather than ruin his chances of returning to CS. 6 months of not allowing him to play in major tournys can really ruin someones career. He has no motivation to practice.

This means Snajdan is still getting a paycheck from SK. This is reasonable as im sure if Snajdan wanted to give up his pay sk would be happy to release his contract.

#16 Snajdan retired, it's not like SK cut him. He should just honor his contract. If he didn't like the terms he shouldn't have signed it in the first place.

by currently the way sk looks, robbans seems the weakest of the rest of the crew but hes probably still in there for chemistry reasons or until sk starts losing alot, which they've done successfully well since there new roster. sort of like sunman in coL, they could of probably grabbed someone better but look what happened to them when they chose exodus, who imo is better individually than sunman but coL couldn't even win in the U.S. with exodus

snajdan won't be re-entering SK and bds was smart here.. none of you would thoughtfully let one of the best players in the scene play against you. If you would you'd be an idiot.
