fnatic capitalized on PGS' slump to take the top spot in the GotFrag World Rankings and put to rest, for the time being, who is the number one team in the world.

fnatic's recent form and quick recovery from the WCG 07 finals helped them cement the number one position in the World Rankings. PGS' recent slump and their poor performance at Extreme Masters LA let their rankings rivals, fnatic slip past, but their domination in the earlier part of the year held enough sway with some voters to keep them above NoA who has been climbing steadily in the ranks. SK-Gaming's new roster was a huge question in the voting with some placing them in the top three and others close to the bottom. They are bunched with roccat, who only has WSVG Louisville to their name this year, and emuLate, the surprise WCG Champions. MiBR's new roster has earned some respect with their Extreme Masters LA performance and talented roster. Rounding out the top ten are the two German titans, mouz and aTTaX, and e-STRO, despite all the controversy from WCG.

North American CS is a two team show as eMg and Turmoil battle it out for the number one spot. Turmoil represented USA at ESWC, while eMg represented USA at WCG. However, eMg's performance at WCG and at Extreme Masters LA kicked them, for the moment, above Turmoil. Mug N Mouse for third place was a universal decision, but beyond that the field is wide open with the voters generally undecided about where the remaining teams belong.

PGS' recent stumbles, at both WCG and extreme Masters LA, have ceded the high ground to fnatic. While fnatic stumbled at WCG a quick recovery at the LA Extreme Masters event stopped them from slipping in the rankings. NoA's second places at ESWC and WCG push them into third in the rankings while roccat and SK's new lineup jockey for position with emuLate, the WCG champion, behind the top three. The remainder of the top ten is finished off by the German teams who have stayed about the same in the rankings, a MYM roster that has been through some serious roster changes, and a new high skilled Virtus roster that has seen minimal event time.
