The current WCG champion emuLate comes from a third place at Dreamhack WGT, where it defeated some big names like NoA or SK Gaming. EmuLate wants to continue its good run in international events and secure a place in one of the most important events of 2008. The French squad will take on starComa.Tagan for the opening round, a team that will be using two stand-ins, Christian "todi" Hackmann and Jérôme "shiddy" Tóth.

ALTERNATE aTTaX comes into KODE5 Germany on the back of a first place at the EPS Finals after defeating its arch-rival mousesports twice in an intense Grand Final. Jan "mooN" Stolle's squad has not been able to produce big time in international LAN events lately, which is why the qualification for KODE5 Global Finals is an important goal for the German team. ATTaX will welcome competo in the quarter-finals, a team aTTaX recently lost to in the EPS regular season.
