Counter-Strike: NoA merges with mTw

Team NoA has merged with German organisation mTw.

Besides the Danish Counter-Strike squad, mTw has also snared part of the former NoA management, which will allow mTw to go further and improve with its "skills and experience."

NoA owner Lars Eiben will now replace the current mTw CEO, Mirko Scharping, who has stepped down from his place in the German organisation to focus on "new duties and responsibilities".

According to the official announcement, mTw will suffer some changes, which will be announced in the near future. The German team stated that it will organise a big mTw-party soon, to celebrate the organisation's tenth anniversary.

Meanwhile, mTw confirmed that it will keep its two Counter-Strike teams, with the former NoA squad being the international representative, while the German roster will compete at the ESL Pro Series.

This said, mTw has now the following Danish Counter-Strike team:

Im kind of glad that they retired "NoA". It was the first international team and was historically known for that. Having a bunch of Danish people that had nothing to do with the original start of the team is kind of stupid anyway.

This is a good move for MTW [b]ONLY IF[/b] noa also brought along its sponsors. Because if that law in german gets passed(about the gambling advertisements??I think) I would think that MTW would lose its poker room sponsor... I could be wrong though.

NoA probably gets the Norwegians who left MYM (REAL, juv etc.) or they will get a new team with Swedish talents (face, get_right etc.). And then PGS will get the other team =)

#18 when NoA was first established, they mentioned the team name was "Norwegians of America" which was based on the players some being from America, Norway.. Shaguar is Canadian but whatever..

so thats how it was known for being an "International team" but later on, I guess they just ignored what NoA really stood for.

bsl, shaGuar, knoxville, etc. have all said several times in interviews that NoA never meant that, it's been argued back and forth for years now it's pretty stupid.
