Counter-Strike: CMAX.gg loses CS team

GotFrag.com understands CMAX.gg to have lost the Counter-Strike squad.

The Finnish team arrived at CMAX.gg in late August and during its four-month association with the organisation it was seen finishing in second place at KODE5 Netherlands and grabbing the gold at ASUS Autumn 2007.

According to CMAX.gg captain Slaava "Twista" Rasanen, the team was not happy with the terms of this partnership as the organisation has failed to fulfill some of the promises made.

"CMAX.gg is a game-server provider, not an organisation," Rasanen told GotFrag.com. "They can't really fulfill our needs, so this step was a necessary one."

This said, the Finnish team has terminated the deal with CMAX.gg but according to Rasanen it will still play for the Finnish company until it finds a new organisation to play for.

The current CMAX.gg roster is the following:

Wish them best luck, but it really sounds quite pathetic when (after that time, when they've visited few events having both ups and downs) now they act like a fu ckin' popstars.

Sounds fair to me, they have obvious potential and I'm sure CMAX didn't plan on a bunch of internation events.

Another one bites the dust.

One of these days, I'd like to see a story about a team who played well and was rewarded by the organization with bigger exposure/more funding. Every couple months we hear about some company that didn't fulfill promises, etc and nobody ever seems to learn from it, only keep grabbing at the carrot.

i think the team name is gg. like those 5 people, coz im sure they were logitech.gg aswell.

i have to agree with Twista, from what ive read, i cant see how a server provider can possibly provide a international team with funds they require.

whats more interesting would be why they went from logitech to CMAX to begin with

No, they werent logitech.gg, they were logitech.fi

they're CMAX.gg now coz its the domain name of their sponsor ( www.cmax.gg for those who are really stupid.)
