GotFrag takes a look at who won what after yet another big year for Counter-Strike 1.6.

Yet another year has come and gone, and while the CS scene in North America saw some stark changes, the rest of the world seemed almost unaffected by the start of the CGS.
While last year we saw the four top teams end up with more than $100k in prize money, all of the top 25 finishers this year ended up with over $10k.
Below you can find the list of the top 25 prize money earners for the year. All prize money is represented in US Dollars, and has been converted where necessary using the current exchange rates.
Actual prize money may differ depending on the state of exchange rates at the time of the event. Also, only prize money from 1.6 tournaments were included in the calculations, so teams who participated in both 1.6 and Source tournaments will only have the totals from their 1.6 winnings represented here. In addition, only money awarded as prizes were used. Money from sponsorships or weekly payments from leauges such as NGL One and CEVO Pro were also not included.

kinda has it.
good idea indeed.
but this is roughly half of the valuable information...
an insane amount of tournaments and leagues are missing.
maybe that could be done monthly this year instead ?
Germany baby.
maybe you should jot down this insane list that they missed so they can fix it
Where's VicaN now to tell us how dead 1.6 is?
Good list, and #agree @ #12
you think it's only 1st prize.
I mean, by your own admission - is was a guarantee that a top 13 team, irrespective of form or who actually turned up; finished above the best American team - every single time. How is that competitive at all? But the fact you included a disproportionate amount of American only tournaments, even online ones, proves what you were trying to achieve here.
3d wasnt up there once
great job guys
let me down again
amazing compilation
2007 another great year for 1.6 :)
Glory days are over in America guys, face it... =(
they included chinese based, swedish based, and german based lans as well
the small lans with crappy payouts were not included
stop flaming because they included the usa lans morons that only american teams won money at..
once again, america is a country, europe and asia are continents, big difference when you wanna say europe > america cs.....
do it by country and im sure america > europe by majority
and you wanna say American 1.6 is dead? we are the only country that sends MULTIPLE teams to major lans
poland sends 1
sweden sends 1 or 2 depending on rosters
norway sends 1
germany sends 2
etc..........
theres only 1 top team from each
id analyze and destroy all you nubs but i dont have time for that
and im pretty sure any top american team owns everyone in the european countries who is not on top at the moment....
GOGOOGOG
What's interesting is that Swedish players took home roughly 21% of the total earnings haha. Was it bsl who stated that Swedish cs was on it's way out? :>
Just btw, author didn't include the 2nd ngl one season where fnatic placed second and won 10000$.
- Heyah Logitech CyberSport #3 - ~4100USD
- Poznań Game Arena 2007 - ~2050 USD
