Counter-Strike: EYEBALLERS disbands CS team

EYEBALLERS has confirmed the end of the Counter-Strike team.
The Swedish team arrived at EYEBALLERS on September 1st but achieved little success during its five-month spell at the organisation, having finished in fifth place at KODE5 Sweden and in 7th-8th place at Dreamhack 07 Winter WGT.

According to the official announcement, both EYE and the team have decided to part company on mutual agreement, a move that comes as a consequence of the poor results and the players' wish to join other projects.

"We just felt that we had to go separate ways, not only with EYE but also as players," EYE captain Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson told GotFrag.com.

"The players in Begrip/EYE were great, but we needed a change and so we tried some different players but in the end we were almost the same guys again.

"I do not know why the results were bad at Dreamhack, but I hope the future will be better and wish the best to all the players who were by my side in Begrip/EYE during 2007."

This move turned the following players into free agents:

Sweden Ruben "get!" Hellberg
Sweden Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson
Sweden Niklas "Nikolaus" Johansson
Sweden Bjorn "threat" Pers
Sweden Rasmus "GuX" Ståhl
