The German player has now returned to his old team just six months after leaving to join a-Losers.

During his six-month association with a-Losers, Porten achieved little success, having seen his team finish in ninth place in EPS.

Competo was on the lookout for a reinforcement to supplement a squad weakened by inactivity periods, with Markus "crash" Esser stressing that there won't be any departures as the new signing will play the role of the squad's backup player.

"Porten's signing was necessary due to a lack of time from all of us - last EPS season we missed a lot of training days because someone was missing," Esser told GotFrag.com.

"He will be a backup player only - we are not planning to change our active line-up at the moment."
