Counter-Strike: Dynamo Gaming picks up Backfire

The Backfire team is picked up by Dynamo Gaming as the organization's new Counter-Strike 1.6 team.
Backfire, the team regarded most often for their CEVO-Pro 5th place finish during Season 6, as well as a 5th-6th place finish in Season 5, is changing their name to Dynamo Gaming after being picked up by the organization bearing the same name.

The #7 ranked team in North America according to GotFrag's Counter-Strike rankings, will be retaining the same roster and keep their spot in both CEVO-Pro and CAL-Invite.

Upon speaking with Craig Newland, owner of Dynamo Gaming, on how the situation came about, Newland had this to say.

"[The former] Dynamo Gaming wanted to remain an all Canadian organization. We weren't impressed with the current Canadian CS scene so we decided to go in another direction. Halston "Tekn1kal" Bellintani, a previous member of that squad, recommended Backfire as a good pick. After talking to them for a little while it became clear they were a perfect match for how we want to represent our organization."

When prompted for the reasoning behind the final decision to pick up Backfire, Newland continued...

"The guys have gotten 6th and 5th place the last two seasons of Cevo-P and they got 2nd in the last season of Cal-I. These guys are hungry to win in the upcoming Cevo-P Cal-I season and we have the highest expectations and confidence in them."

Aside from CAL-I and CEVO-P online play, Dynamo Gaming has informed GotFrag that they also will be attending all local and major North American LANs coming up in the months ahead.
