Darkside

United States Matt "Lim" Beahan
United States RJ "rulER" Quinn Simons
United States Frank "illuzion" Liccardo
United States Matt "flutie" Farrell
United States Robert "Ph0bius" Irey

The recently announced new lineup will get ready to get their feet wet. After their successful CEVO Placement finish, they should have a decent season ahead. Couple of the players are local in the Tri-state area while two are living together in Florida which makes LAN tournaments difficult to do.

Former eMg players Irey and Beahan will bring great experience to the team as they have had quite a ride this past year with winning the WCG USA Finals and placing 4th at the WCG Grand Final in 2007. Irey had took some time off after leaving eMg and is hopefully back to stay with the team today. Beahan also had some problems at big events which led to a stand-in being called for that day.

They pulled big wins during the CEVO Placement event including Cyberglobe in group play and then Fatal Effect in the double elimination rounds. With the nine week course very close ahead, we will see how the team progresses.

Strengths: All around experience. Each player has some sort of experience attached to them in one form of another. Irey and Beahan are close friends and longtime teammates which should bring a lot of help to the team with chemistry and strategies. Simons having played with Revoltados eSports for sometime can also help bring some work to the table.

Weaknesses: Inactivity. Still a new team, some players will need to catch up more then others. Irey went inactive for awhile with eMg which led to his departure. Along with Beahan's past of not being able to attend some events, we hope this won't be a factor this season.

Recent Results: CEVO Pro Placement Qualifier

Prediction: Playoffs. Out of the four teams that joined up with the bunch, I see this team prevailing over them all to secure a seat in the top 6. I don't think they'll pass up eMg or X3O in the rankings this early in the game but I'm sure they will get the chance to face them in the last weeks of the season and steal away a win.

Revoltados eSports

United States Kyle "syniKaL" Mendez
United States Luis "Tc1" Bosques
United States Ian "pyrite" Thomas
United States Vince "fr3aK" DeCarlo
United States Doug "jacoBson" Jacobson

Out of the two times they've competed in CEVO Professional, the organization placed no higher then fifth. In both of those times, they were only able to keep a one or two core players. Since then they've had some roster changes and a new one takes its toll on the season ahead. Originally, Mendez and Bosquez began their quest to bring back the former team and was invited to compete in the CEVO Pro Placement. Along the way, couple of the players went inactive and left the team a few players short. They've acquired three new players to the team since then and will begin their journey to a championship.

Revoltados performed well in group play finishing with a 4-1 record which included a win over iniquity. As they went on to advance to double elimination play, they quickly defeated NoPression and Guardians who was suppose to be a top contender for the upcoming season. After their 2-0 run in the upper bracket, they received an auto-berthed to CEVO-P.

The team is local in the Tri-state area which will make things easier on them. They will be attending a local event in their area on March 1st and plan on attending more in the future. With the help of online and LAN practice, they can gain a lot of teamwork/chemistry down the road.

Strengths: Nuke/Dust2. They never lost a match on either map during the CEVO Pro Placement tournament and were quite comfortable playing those maps. Dust2 is very pug friendly and could easier favor a team like this as they can make strategies off hand.

Weaknesses: Its hard to tell at this point. During the placement event, these guys fought back even when they were down and out; taking it to three maps if necessary. That shows some dedication from them and it will be hard to find a weak point on these guys.

Recent Results CEVO Pro Placement Qualifier

Prediction: The last time the organization made playoffs was back in Season 5. It would be nice for a change and see these guys pull through and make it again.
