Frag Dominant

United States Derek "weym0" Weymouth
United States Zach "sunjo" Ganey
United States Joey "pondfiller" Marotta
United States Bryan "buskey" Buskey
United States Spencer "hiko" Martin

For a long time, they were known as Stacked Like Pancakes. The former "online" team is back for another season in the professional division. Many of these players have been categorized as "cheaters" if you will to a lot of other competitors. Since then, they have played a full season in CEVO Pro and even made playoffs taking fourth last season. That has to tell you something I suppose.

After all the heat these guys get, they were ranked #4 in North America by GotFrag.com, and they will set forth on a route to exceed that placing. Since their time in the CEVO Placement, they've had their eyes set on the prize. By being able to keep the same core players, working on their chemistry and teamwork will be easy as they can adapt much closer. Only two of the players are local to each other which makes it impossible for them to get any LAN experience in, which a lot of people want to see due to their performance.

Strengths: Aim. Well you can't be called a cheater and not be incredibly good. These guys have tremendous aim and utilize that to their advantage. Marotta is known for his swift AWP tactics as others with their rifles.

Weaknesses: Pressure. When it came down to defeating the better teams in North America like X3O and eMg, they were unable to pull off a win. SLP/FD has yet to defeat eMg or X3O in a sanctioned match and that will prevent them from getting anywhere this season if they can't overcome that obstacle.

Recent Results: 4th CEVO Pro Season 7, 1st CEVO Semi Pro Season 6

Prediction: Might be too soon to tell at this point but I can see them getting in playoffs again. They have the desire to be #1 and it shows. The cloud over their head will be trying to beat eMg and X3O at this point.

Nightmare Online

United States Mike "1ekim" Marinko
United States Tim "lefteye" Morss
United States Kyle "kth" Holloway
United States Matthew "MONOXIDE" Chlopek
(International) To Be Determined
United States Dan "calzone" Cocchiara (Alternate)

This roster has seriously gone through at least seventy-two renditions in the past two months. The San Andreas fault is more stable than this team. Following Dan "calzone" Cocchiara stepping back as alternate for the team he formed, the lineup has seen players from Lance "t0oL" McCrary to Jon "broodex" Gibbons travel through the revolving door. There were even rumors of Iniquity's Andy "icy" Keefe joining up were tossed around as he was listed on the nMo CEVO roster for a short period of time before returning to his clan. Oh yeah, and he took Gibbons with him.

As it currently stands at the time of this article being written, Nightmare Online has gone back to a more original roster that includes three of the core members from last years CEVO-Pro roster, as well as a former UGP player which was the foundation clan for nMo. The fifth is really a tossup at the moment, nMo has indicated that search has narrowed but has yet to make a final decision. Nightmare online was a great team last season, whether or not they can make it with a last moment scramble of a roster will be the million dollar question.

Strengths: The central element of this team has played together for many years, if anything, the chemistry they have developed will assist in improving the flow of the team as they progress through the season.

Weakness: Having the equivalent of an identity crisis can be demoralizing for a team, having one only days before the start of the pro season is even worse. If they take a few losses early on it could ruin the chance of a momentum buildup.

Recent Results: 5th Place, Season 7 CEVO-Pro 1.6

Predictions: Ignoring the fact that they play the number one team in North America for the first game of the season, they have a fairly easy schedule to start off. Building confidence and teamwork here is crucial and will be the litmus test of a successful run for the playoffs.
