The Russian player was banned from all ESL play on May 2007 for a period of two years after being caught cheating during a match for one of the uyR tournaments organised by the European league.

However, he has now been added to the Virtus.pro ESL roster and might be playing for the team at the upcoming Extreme Masters Finals this weekend.

According to Filimonchenko's profile, he has entered the ESL "rehabilitation" program for cheaters, which will allow him to play before than expected.

Contacted by GotFrag.com, both ESL and Virtus.pro were unavailable to comment on this matter.

UPDATE: Contacted by GotFrag.com, the ESL stated that the Russian talent has been allowed to play the tournament as he admitted to have cheated and apologized for it, thus having passed the ESL rehabilitation program.

This said, Virtus.pro should feature the following line-up at the Extreme Masters Finals:

hey just look at hostile..cheated long time ago not b/c he felt he needed to boost his own score...but everyone has their reasons. doesn't mean the person cant put it down on LAN, son!

actually #8, he was banned for using wallh4x and not a bunnyhop script. The AC client detected another program running at the same time, not a bhop script, totally diff things.

Like he even cheated...he friggin used a bunnyhop script. The program is joke but who cares. Anyway sally is a monster the lineup is very scary if sally can regain his old form. Edward,Lex,Sally = game over.

they took a decision better for the fans and for the game, Esports is too young to give it a professional look, some might support the decision of ESWC decision of old PGS spot given to the organization but i support the decision!
