Counter-Strike: SoA signs spx

Spirit of Amiga has confirmed roster changes in the Counter-Strike team.
The Danish team was the big surprise at Extreme Masters II Finals, but was only able to achieve a 5th-6th place finish at SLAP LIVE #14.

Spirit of Amiga has decided to part company with two players, Martin “trace” Holdt and Michael “FriiS” Jørgensen, as a consequence of the team's recent internal problems.

"We had some internal issues, that made us try to make some changes to see if that could make it better," said SoA manager Ronnie "TwAizZ" Jelsbak.

Contacted by GotFrag.com, Jørgensen expressed his disappointment at the decision announced by SoA, declaring: "I do not understand the reason why I had to go, some things happened at the recent event we attended, SLAP LIVE, in Denmark.

"Two of my former team-mates got into an argument with each other which ended in one of them being removed from the team.

"Since there were going to be some changes anyway, why not get rid of the two at the same time? I did not see this coming so I am really disappointed and tired of bad excuses."

To replace these two players, SoA added Mike “spx” Lützhøft, who had been removed from the team some weeks ago, and Nikolaj “Nuggi” Larsen, who has departed from Gravitas Gaming and will be the team's stand-in for the remainder of the EPS season.

"Spx left to play with a friend back in November, and we were all sad to see him leave, so when we decided to make changes and he was interested in returning to us, it came very naturally," Jelsbak said.

"After parting ways with one of the top players in Denmark, we needed a replacement for this spot, and Nuggi definitely proved himself to be way up there so it was an easy choice actually."

Spirit of Amiga has now the following roster:

Denmark Timm ”ArcadioN” Henriksen
Denmark Nicho ”zitic” Petersson
Denmark Daniel "anizz" Aniff
Denmark Mike “spx” Lützhøft
Denmark Nikolaj “Nuggi” Larsen (stand-in)

I really feel bad for Friis the most to be honest. The guy is a great player and deserves a top team to play for. He tore it up at EM along with Arcadion and hands down was the 2nd best player on that team for the event.

I kinda thought trace would be leaving since he is known to be a bit antsy at times, but he has some talent so hopefully he finds a good team. :)

I'm starting to dislike ArcadioN for his poor behavior as a human being, you cannot have a perfect team, without arguing at all :)
