Counter-Strike: mibr adds three

By: Luis Mira - Published April 09, 2008 at 4:03 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Made in Brazil has confirmed the additions of former members Raphael "cogu" Camargo, Renato "nak" Nakano and Bruno "bruno" Ono.
The three Brazilian players, who departed from Made in Brazil in August 2007 to join Rio Sinistro, had been free agents since the beginning of April.

Made in Brazil was on the lookout for replacements following the recent drought of good results, and found in these three names the perfect solutions to bolster the team's form.

From the old team, only Bruno "bit" Lima and Lincoln "fnx" Lau remain, as Thiago "btt" Monteiro, Wellington "ton" Caruso and Olavo "cky" Napolećo have parted company with Made in Brazil.

"Without knowing for sure that they would remove with CGS, players like cogu, nak and bruno would become inactive or would eventually be signed by other teams, and we could not allow that," said team Alexandre "gAuLeS" Bochi.

"These players are MiBR's trademark, and we would not like to see them against us, even if they were in another Brazilian team."

The Brazilian team finished in 9th-10th place at Extreme Masters Finals, and Bochi ensured that the team's poor display in Hannover played a major role in these changes.

"Even knowing that at Extreme Masters were the best teams in the world and that we lost some very close games, and that it is never easy to beat SK in a final in Sweden, there is no way to deny that, if the results had been different, these changes would not have happened this easily."

The new Made in Brazil line-up should have its official debut at KODE5 Global Finals, which are due to take place at the T-Modul Exhibition Complex from May 10th to May 11th in Moscow, Russia.

Made in Brazil has now the following roster:

Brazil Bruno "bit" Lima
Brazil Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Brazil Raphael "cogu" Camargo
Brazil Bruno "bruno" Ono
Brazil Renato "nak" nakano
