Held at Westfallenhalle in Dortmund, the German ESWC Finals will see the top two Counter-Strike names qualifying for the ESWC event in San Jose in late August.

Mousesports will be using a-Losers player Nils "bara" Waldowski instead of Antonio "cyx" Daniloski, who is ineligible to play the qualifier for being a minor.

Team Alternate has been far from impressive at EPS, and is currently sixth-placed side with 18 points in 9 games. With mousesports using a stand-in at the event, Alternate has high chances of bagging one of the two ESWC spots.

N!faculty's EPS campaign has been marked by inconsistency, and the team comes into this event on the back of a surprising defeat to ID Gaming. N!faculty has defeated the likes of Alternate and mouz this season, and may not be taken lightly during this weekend as it seeks stability.

After an amazing start to its EPS campaign, hoorai was anything but impressive during the past two weeks, where it suffered two league defeats and finished in 5-8th place at DTS-Cup 2008. Hoorai wants to get back on track, and nothing better than a first-placed finish at the ESWC qualifier to do so.
