MoB - The #2 seed team was able to defeat X3O just before closing out the season on a good note and a BYE into second round of playoffs. Currently on a three game winning streak, the team has high hopes for playoffs. 2. X3O - After a very close match against MoB Gaming, X3O takes a loss in overtime against them but secures #1 seed into playoffs. They will also get a BYE into the second round as they watch on. 3. Interstate 95 - Another match down to the wire with I95 as they were able to take down Mug N Mouse and keep them at the #4 seed. Freshly added Mike "CuZ" Nang hops on the awards list this week as he gets situated with his new team. 4. EG - They experienced a tough loss to SLP but was able to turn things back around in the final match as they beat Eximius 16-7. EG will secure the #5 spot into playoffs as they will face Interstate 95 in the first round. 5. Nightmare Online - Woohoo! The boys have finally done it as they finish the season with a 1-15 record. What more could you ask for as they spent the last 9 weeks getting so close to a win, but not quite there. Unfortunately there's no awards for this but the spirit will live on. Got Skills? Perez played a vital role in the final week of regular season as he led MoB Gaming to victory over the #1 seeded X3O. With a finish in overtime, he managed a 1.02 FPR and a 121.9 DAR for that match alone. As playoffs roll around the corner, MoB will have the squeeze on X3O before they face eachother. Surprise of the Week: Nightmare Online - The Baltimore Ravens (Dynamo) have emerged from beneath the ground and were defeated by Nightmare Online to achieve their first win in CEVO Pro. Not the best thing to magnet on the refrigerator but I am sure that the many many players who participated in Nightmare Online's success are greatful. Stock Rising: MoB Gaming - After having a rough start in the beginning of the season losing 4 of the first 7 games, MoB is now ranked #2 before heading into playoffs next month. Last week, MoB and X3O played a great match that went into overtime where MoB was able to sweep them. If Perez can keep putting up numbers like this week, it will be quite a challenge for the other five teams. Stock Falling: Evil Geniuses - From being ranked #2 just under X3O, they now sit three spots back at #5. Their most recent loss was a huge one to Stacked Like Pancakes; and this wasn't the first time they've lost to SLP either. They were able to pick up a win against Eximius Sports to finish off the season and sit barely above Mug N Mouse. None the less, EG has a spot in the playoffs and a clean slate. Any fixed mistakes will need to be shown playoff weekend or its back to the drawing board. |
