With the first event in the Revival Tour set to start tomorrow, GotFrag brings you our top five players to watch for the event.

The first event in the GotFrag Revival Tour is just a day away. The biggest names in North American 1.6 are signed up and there will be plenty of top notched action spread out over the weekend. Veterans and new faces alike will be taking part in the first tournament of the series and GotFrag takes a look at five players you should keep an eye on.

The GotFrag Revival Tour is an online tournament series dedicated entirely to bringing live Counter-Strike 1.6 action directly to the desktops of fans by way of GotFrag eSports comprehensive coverage and live streaming video courtesy of GotFrag TV. The first GotFrag Revival Tour tournament takes place April 26th-27th and will host sixteen five player CS 1.6 teams.

United States Derrick "impulsive" Truong - x3o

Derrick "impulsive" Truong
It is still unknown whether Truong will even play in this event. Due to prior commitments, he will not be able to play for x3o on the first day of the tournament. Whether they reach day 2, or if the team will decide to use the lineup from the start of the event is at this time unclear. However, if all of those factors work out and Truong does get some playing time on Sunday, he is definitely a player to watch.

Probably the most unrecognized and underrated player in North America at the moment, Truong led x3o statistically through the CEVO Pro season. With a +73 frag to death ratio and over 89 damage a round, he acted as x3o's premier fragger. His run and gun style is very unpredictable. What he lacks in strategic ability he more than compensates for in raw talent and aim. While his AWP rivals that of teammate Dan Mehler, he usually sticks to an AK or Colt.

United States Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert - EG.USA

Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
Anyone who has been following the competitive 1.6 scene in North America over the past year should already be well aware of this player. Without a doubt, Gilbert is the MVP for CEVO Pro season 8. With an astonishing +/- of 92 and an average damage per round of 88.8, Gilbert kept EG.USA above water and helped them get into the post season.

Gilbert's talent with rifles is simply astounding, with aim that snaps to the headbox with bot-like movement. If you are watching HLTV simply to see some dominant fragging, spectating him is not a bad idea.

United States Shaun "hostile" Catron - MoB

Shaun "hostile" Catron
Recently, Catron has undertaken the role of ingame leader and strat caller for MoB. Despite that fact, he is an interesting player to watch. While he has impeccable aim, he rarely relies solely on it. Instead he plays using much higher percentage shots through the use of angles.

During the past, he was known mainly for his use of the AWP, however, now he mainly resigns himself to the role of rifleman. This season in CEVO Pro, he led MoB statistically with over 83 damage per round and a +63 ratio.

Canada Olivier "olibraz" Brazeau - NoPression

Olivier "olibraz" Brazeau
With career stats of over 89 damage a round and a +45 frag to death ratio, Olivier Brazeau is the MVP of NoPression. His play style on offense is slow and methodical. He uses angles to clear spots and works corners to gain access to sites. On defense, he tends to force action through well timed pushes and flanks.

Alongside Kevin "sKz" O'Connor, Brazeau serves as one of NP's key fraggers. He primarily uses rifles, however, he has been known to pick up an AWP from time to time. If you find yourself watching a NP match, it might be a good idea to check him out and witness one the north country's stars in action.

United States Jeff "Hero" Mettetal - Mug N Mouse

Jeff "Hero" Mettetal
Although he has only played in one match for MNM this season in CEVO Pro and only recently joined the team, Mettetal is an exciting player to watch. His fast paced entry fragging on T side is a major factor in what rounds MNM wins. On defense he uses well timed and placed flashes to gain access to deeper parts of the map, fragging and taking away real estate.

His career stats are an impressive 86.25 damage per round and a +176 ratio. His DAR is surprising knowing that he is always the first player to enter a site. If you are unsure how to entry frag and clear sites, spectating him might just help you fill in the blanks.
