Counter-Strike: mibr adds second CS team

By: Luis Mira - Published May 01, 2008 at 5:02 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Made in Brazil has confirmed the creation of a second Brazilian Counter-Strike: 1.6 squad.
The Brazilian organisation announced in early April that it would be adding three players - Raphael "cogu" Camargo, Renato "nak" Nakano and Bruno "bruno" Ono - to the Counter-Strike team, confirming, at the same time, that creating a new CS squad was a possibility.

Made in Brazil feels that the number of tournaments this year in Brazil and in the rest of the world suffice for the management to think about having two Counter-Strike teams.

The new squad has Norberto "Lance" Lage, who returns to Counter-Strike: 1.6 after a six-month spell at CGS squad Rio Sinistro, and will feature the three players that departed from MiBR, Thiago "btt" Monteiro, Wellington "ton" Caruso and Olavo "cky" Napoleão.

The last player to join is former GameCrashers player Rodrigo “rodrig0” Carvalho, who Lage believes that will become a quality asset to the team.

"Rodrigo is a great player, with great skill," he said. "Everyone in the team has played with him, he has always shown himself as a dedicated and skilled player, he was the best name to fill this spot."

Made in Brazil will not choose a name for the new squad. Instead, it has created a poll in its official website, through which online fans can vote for their favourite name, with the options being:

.MIBR.sp
.MIBR.dream
.MIBR.DBA

The new Made in Brazil squad is the following:

Brazil Norberto "Lance" Lage
Brazil Thiago "btt" Monteiro
Brazil Wellington "ton" Caruso
Brazil Olavo "cky" Napoleão
Brazil Rodrigo “rodrig0” Carvalho
