Counter-Strike: ESWC confirms Masters pre-list

The Electronic Sports World Cup has confirmed a provisional list of candidate teams for the Masters tournament.
The event will take place from July 4th-6th at the Palais Omnisports of Paris and will feature all the ESWC official games, Counter-Strike: 1.6, Defense of the Ancients, Quake 3 Arena, Trackmania Nations, and Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne.

The ESWC Masters of Paris will have invitational tournaments open to candidate applications from any country, with the winners being rewarded with money and a spot in the ESWC 2008 event, to take place in California during the summer.

In the male Counter-Strike: 1.6 tournament, the top 4 French teams according to ranking will meet 16 teams that will be chosen from a list of candidates. So far, this list is the following:

Teams have until Tuesday, May 13th, to apply for a spot in the ESWC Masters tournament. The final list of candidates will be published on May 20th.

The pre-list of selected candidates for Quake 3 Arena and Trackmania Nations will be announced tomorrow, while the pre-list for Warcraft III TFT and Defense of the Ancients will be released on Wednesday.
