Counter-Strike: Excello adds duo

By: Luis Mira - Published May 14, 2008 at 5:17 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Excello has bolstered its squad with the additions of Samu "plastE" Aalto and Miikka "driim" Toroi.
The Finnish squad has been looking for reinforcements since Tino "tihOp" Puumala decided to leave the squad to join local rivals Roccat.

Aalto arrives at Excello after a previous stint at the former CMAX.gg squad, which came to an end in August 2007 when he decided to play with 69N-28E.

Toroi was one of the players on show at Assembly Winter 2007, where his squad secured a second-place finish, and despite his lack of international experience, the squad is confident he will be a quality asset.

"When tihop left we were not really motivated to play anymore, even thought about quitting but then plaste came to me and he was interested in playing," Matti "SpikeOne" Jarvinen told GotFrag.com.

"We wanted to try out something new called dRiim from EGC as he had played pretty well at Assembly Winter against us.

"He has been playing pretty well in practice games for us so we decided to take him in."

According to Jarvinen, Excello has applied for a place at the ESWC Masters tournament, whose final list of candidates will be published on the 20th May.

Excello has now the following line-up:

Finland Matti "SpikeOne" Jarvinen
Finland Konsta "kookas" Kaisla
Finland Janne "Kuppi" Kuparinen
Finland Samu "plastE" Aalto
Finland Miikka "driim" Toroi
