Counter-Strike: GR shuts down; GB adds p0s

Glimpse of Reality closes shop and the Green Berets pick up Trevor “p0s” Randolph.
Glimpse of Reality, a recently reinvigorated team, has decided once again to go the way of the dinosaurs and call it quits. This comes on the heels of their better than average CEVO-main results and their 5-6th place finish in GotFrag’s first Revival Tour. In the Revival Tour they upset the eventual second place finisher MoB in the second round of the upper bracket on Mill.

According to Trevor “p0s” Randolph, the team suffered through the inactivity of several players. The final nail in the coffin, for him, was Mike Cika’s World of Warcraft exploits.

“Basically Cika is in the #2 wow guild in the US, exodus, and when they would release content he would go MIA for days,” said Randolph. “ It was a struggle to get five people on to play so we decided it was best for everyone to go their own ways.”

Following the disillusion of GR, Randolph joined the ranks of the Green Berets. He previously played with a version of GB back when they were under the name of rSports. With Randolph’s experience, friendship with James “Jame^s” O’Connor (the leader of GB), Randolph found him a spot on the Green Beret’s roster according to James “Jame^s” O’Connor.

“p0s has been a close friend of ours since rSports,” said O’Connor. “ There aren't many players left have his LAN experience; he’s a pro at CS whether its source or 1.6. Trevor's knowledge of 1.6 is a bit out of date but I'm catching him back up to speed.”

He replaces Anthony "m4gic" Coriale who left the squad to play on the new Guardians squad with his former zEx teammates. Randolph joins as Gavin “Bane” Olson returns to activity and William "Sh0ts" Griffith is relegated to the sixth man position. O’Connor says, however, the team hasn’t given up on Griffith.

“Sh0ts has been in or around my teams for the past 5 years,” said O’Connor. “He played the entire season of CEVO Main up until the playoffs. His only experience in the past couple years was that season. He’s a bit behind but we haven't given up on him yet. William will be subbing in as needed until he closes the experience gap to be closer to the rest of the team. I guess you could say he is my next project.”

This leaves the Green Berets roster as:

United States James "Jame^s" Oconnor
United States Josh "PineKone" Springer
United States Ted "LuckeyTed" Weinrich
United States Gavin “Bane” Olson
United States Trevor “p0s” Randolph

United States William "Sh0ts" Griffith (backup)
