Roccat has confirmed the departure of team captain Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen from the squad. Nonetheless, problems inside roccat were noticeable for quite some time now following the team's disastrous campaign at DTS-CUP 2008, where it was not able to pass the group stage. While at roccat, Kovanen picked up a second-place finish at NGL ONE 2007/2008 Finals and a third-place finish at Extreme Masters LA.  "The team had a few arguments so we discussed and decided this was the best," Taleb told GotFrag.com. "No bad feelings between me and Tomi, he's a great guy and he was more than just a player to the team." Taleb further added that, despite the loss of the team captain, no one will play Kovanen's role in the squad. "There's no need for a captain as the whole team will step up. Juuso "contE" Sajakoski will take act as in-game leader." On his future, Kovanen said: "I do not see myself playing competitively anymore, probably going to play some events with Kuppi & co but we'll see what happens, when August rolls around I'll just focus on school." Meanwhile, roccat confirmed the addition of Samu "plastE" Aalto from Excello. Aalto had been removed from roccat in April following DTS-CUP but he seems to have caught the eyes of the squad once again. #13 exagerated there, but it was a terrible loss for roccat, dunno about the community
Good move for roccat.
Hopefully roccat steps it up I really like their squad and well see how this fresh start helps them in international tourneys.
i would like to se a more aggressive Roccat, lurppis was so defensive

I really like the way roccat play... but they never get 1st place, hope now they can do something better, gl for them ^^
Nasu is lurp's brother without this combo the team wont last till the end of summer. Or..if it does, it wont be any good even though ruuit is a beast.

Lurppis was one of the FEW in game leaders who seemed to really understand his players and how to use them effectively in a lot of diffrent ways.
Big hit to the team but maybe they can prove everyone wrong.

excello just lost a few players (kuppi drmm) because they couldn't find a good ingame leader btw, so I see them asking lurpiss to join them fulltime :]
bs, he did really well in his first tourney for roccat and can only get better. he also topped the scoreboard a few times (saw him drop 20+ in one halve on nuke CT side against mouz or mibr, I don't remember)
if any1 needs to be replaced now its nasu, add spikeone plx (kuppi would be good as a player but he played for the roccat guys before and that didn't work out at all)
