Counter-Strike: Virtus.pro adds kane

Virtus.pro has confirmed the addition of Mykhailo "kane" Blagin to the Counter-Strike team.
The Russian giant has decided to show hot-shot Viktor "Sally" Filimonchenko the exit door at the team in the wake of the team's subpar display at ASUS Spring 2008 Melee, where it didn't even pass the group stage.

Virtus.pro was reportedly unhappy with the 9th-12th place finish at the KODE5 2007 Global Finals and the 7th-8th place finish at Extreme Masters II Finals, and thus considered that roster changes were necessary for it to return to the European elite.

Filimonchenko's replacement comes in the form of Ukrainian veteran Mykhailo "kane" Blagin, former member of pro100 that represented csc.Arena at DTS-Cup 2008.

His experience extends beyond local tournaments, however, as he also picked up a 9th-16th WCG 2006 finish during his time at pro100.

Blagin is in line to make his official debut for Virtus.pro in a showmatch against fnatic on Friday, the 6th of June, in Moscow.

Virtus.pro has now the following team:

Russia Alexey "LeX" Kolesnikov
Russia Roman "ROMJkE" Makarov
Ukraine Ioan "Edward" Sukhariev
Ukraine Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko
Ukraine Mykhailo "kane" Blagin
