Counter-Strike: hoorai removes CS team, signs pod.hama

Hoorai has confirmed the dismissal of the Counter-Strike team and the addition of former pod.hama line-up.
The hoorai team failed to impress in the EPS league, managing just an eighth-place finish when it was aiming for a place in the LAN Finals.

GotFrag.com reported earlier this summer that hoorai had decided to terminate the contract of two of its players, Tim "silver" Hochgrebe and Alexander "XaVe" Ackenhausen, as a consequence of the poor EPS campaign.

This decision left hoorai with a four-man roster, with the team being expected to announce the new players in the close-season.

However, the organisation has now confirmed the release of the Counter-Strike squad after a season in which it failed to live up to expectations.

According to Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel, some of the players could not agree terms with hoorai on the new contracts.

"Hoorai sent us new contracts at the end of June but fleks and I did not agree with the organisation on several points," Chmiel told GotFrag.com. "The wages and duration of the contracts were the two main points we did not agree on.

"As a consequence, the hoorai management sat down to talk about what they thought that was best for them."

Chmiel further added that the former hoorai squad won't stay together.

"I guess we will go separate ways. I can`t really tell the plans of my former team-mates like I also don`t know what I will do next.

"I need to take the next days to think about all the possibilites I have."

Hoorai has now landed its new CS team in the shape of pod.hama, who finished in fourth place in EPS.

"This team has been very successful for years and still managed to stay together, we will support this team to bring it to the international top squads," said team manager Adam "Scottbull" Grzesik.

Hoorai has now the following line-up:

Germany Frans "fRaNs" von der Aue
Germany Benjamin "MuKuH" Barth
Germany Tobias "Notorious" Torka
Germany Johan "rappy" von der Aue
Germany Linus "beist" Gubenis
Germany Sebastian "cYpress" Schweegmann
