Held at Games Convention 2008, the CM Invitational tournament will feature three teams invited by KODE5 - fnatic, Meet Your Makers and Team Alternate - and the current KODE5 defending champion, mTw.

The tournament will start on Friday, August 22nd, at 10.00 CET and will end on Saturday at 16:00 CET.

"It's great to be able to put this event together with our good friends at Cooler Master," said Lester Lau, KODE5 Revolutionary-in-Command.

"With some of the world's top teams in attendance, the KODE5 CM Storm 2008 Invitational is sure to offer some nail-biting matches for eSports fans around the world.

"It's great to see forward-thinking companies like Cooler Master investing in the sport that we all know and love. In addition, details on the 2008-2009 season of KODE5 will be announced very soon, including events, sponsors, prizes and more!"

The seeding distribution for the tournament is the following:

honestly this is pretty much what i said before,
mty mym and fnatic is like rock paper scissors but i have a solution to end all debates.

they should have a 3 team tourny ( mtw mym fnatic ). they play eachother on all 4 major maps ( train nuke dust2 inferno ) - and who ever has the most wins at the end of the day is #1.
1st place gets a gazillion dollars + some more goddies
2nd place gets tiny ribbons
3rd place team gets murdered ( that way these 3 teams can never again beat eachother back to back like rock paper scissors )

but what attax doing there :!

I have no idea what Alternate is doing there, but oh well. mTw and fnatic are the two top teams, MYM is good but has to bring their a-game and Alternate is a team that tends to surprise everyone (remember WSVG 2006?), so it should be a good tournament.
