With the West in the driver’s seat with an upset victory over the East in the Warcraft III deathmatch match, today they have a chance to win the whole thing. The first game today is the Warcraft III Threesome. This format will give a slight advantage to the East team who cannot depend on Grubby’s heroics to pull down a W. However, with SaSe’s upset of Sky and Grubby taking down Lyn and Moon things look very good for the West, especially if SaSe is matched up versus Sky on Echo Isles.

Next up is the Counter-Strike Threesome. Anything can really happen here, but the cards are stacked in the West’s favor. With Lunatic-Hai missing from major international competition for the last few years and Dragon’s play in question following their KODE5 ordeal, the only team that has a consistent track record is eSTRO. The West team is stacked with teams with impressive resumes, both fnatic and MYM have won multiple international championships and the “weakest” team in the group, emulate, won WCG 2007. It will be tough for the East to get a win here.
