Counter-Strike: n!faculty confirmed at ESWC

By: Luis Mira - Published July 28, 2008 at 6:21 PM EDT - Writer Archive
N!faculty is now the third German team confirmed at the 2008 ESWC Finals.
The German team finished in third place in the local ESWC qualifier and thus saw mousesports and Team Alternate claiming the two spots for the tournament's finals, which are due to take place from August 25th-27th in San Jose, California.

However, the ESWC committee has now given n!faculty a spot in the tournament, which means that the EPS runner-up is now the third German Counter-Strike team in attendance.

While the reasons behind this decision are unknown, it is reported that some teams have cancelled their participation in the ESWC Finals, which has made the organisation look for other squads.

N!faculty will now begin preparations for the ESWC Finals after a disappointing campaign at GameGune where it finished in 9th-12th place.

"First, we will have to look against which teams we will have to play against in our group. Our first goal is to survive the group stage and beat as much as teams as we can," n!faculty manager Daniel "chillkroete" Schöneck told GotFrag.com.

"We won't have much time to train because of shiddy's holiday. But we will do an online bootcamp the weekend before and we will practice hard all over the week."

N!faculty has the following line-up:

Germany Christoph "chrizzo' Krämer
Germany Bastian "b4d" Gaffron
Germany Daniel "Frigh" Enderle
Germany Gerhard "gerdi" Grimm
Hungary Jérôme "shiddy" Tóth
