Counter-Strike: ESWC releases finals seeds

The Electronic Sports World Cup has confirmed the seeding distribution for the 2008 Finals.

(GotFrag) San Jose, California - The ESWC committee has released the official seeding distribution for the 2008 finals, which are due to take place from August 25th-27th in San Jose, California.

The Counter-Strike: 1.6 tournament will have eight groups of five teams, with the winner and the runner-up of each group qualifying for the second group stage. Each group will be composed of one team from each seeding pool and two-three from the challengers pool (depending on the tournament). A group cannot have more than one participant from the same nationality, except if it is the last group being drawn.

The seeding distribution has been made according to the teams' results in previous editions of the Electronic Sports World Cup, ESWC Masters of Paris, National Final and other major competitions. The group draw will take place on Monday, the 18th of August, from 15.00 to 18.00 (CET time).
