Week one action is due to begin on Monday, the 18th of August, at 20.00 CET, with Germany's big-guns, mousesports and Team Alternate, having their matches.

Newly-promoted NoWAYouT start its EPS adventure taking on defending champion, mouz. The German team managed a second-place finish at GameGune 2008 and is only interested in winning this match ahead of its participation in ESWC 08.

Team Alternate has been anything but impressive and comes into EPS on the back of a 5th-8th place finish at ESWC Masters. Alternate managed just a third-place finish in the last EPS season and is now aiming to improve its fortunes. MTw failed to impress last season and is now looking for better results with a revamped roster that features two ex-Competo players.

Week one resumes on Wednesday with four matches taking place. Competo underwent several roster changes after a disappointing season and has now three former hoorai members. Its EPS debut will be against Team GAMED.DE, one of last season's surprises.

The new hoorai line-up is composed of the five players who played under pod.hama last season, finishing EPS in a respectable fourth place. Hoorai will have its first match against wooSai, who has in its ranks players with several EPS seasons under their belts.

The first Intel Friday Night Game of the 13th EPS season will be played between n!faculty and TBH.eSports. N!faculty impressed last season, finishing in third season, but failed to live up to expectations at GameGune. TBH.eSports, on the other hand, did not qualify for last season's play-offs and showed a poor level in Bilbao, so this will be an exciting match between two teams that are still trying to find their best form.
