Counter-Strike: XeqtR returns under elemeNt's new team

By: Luis Mira - Published August 20, 2008 at 10:29 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Former eoLithic star Jorgen "XeqtR" Johannessen has returned to Counter-Strike action more than two years after his retirement.

The Norwegian veteran decided to put an end to his Counter-Strike career in mid-2006 following a series of mixed results with NoA.

Johannessen was recently appointed as Team West's coach at eStars Continental Cup, guiding the squad which won the event with a score of 6-4.

It now appears as though he is ready to make a comeback to Counter-Strike competition after being added to the ESL page of Ola "elemeNt" Moum's team.

The team, called "carried by OmeN", participated in the Norwegian Extreme Masters qualifier, crashing out of the tournament last night after losing to Excello.

Carried by OmeN did not manage to qualify for the WCG, so whether the current mousesports DotA player will continue playing for the team remains very much subject to conjecture.

The team is currently as follows:

Norway Sondre "REAL" Svanevik
Norway Mats "noLA" Nygren
Norway Preben "prb" Gammelsæter
Norway Lasse "stingeR" Midtstue
Norway Ola "elemeNt" Moum
Norway Martin "OmeN" Moskvil
Norway Jorgen "XeqtR" Johannessen
