ESWC head CS referee on Spawn's medical situation:

- Waiting for news

Head Counter-Strike referee for ESWC, Gaetan "Sunray" Bertin (26)says all SK matches are delayed until further notice.

"- The medical staff told us that his trip to the hospital would take aproximatly one and a half hours. We have not heard from them (SK) since the player left but there ARE admins that are in contact with the team to get the latest news," he said.

SK were scheduled to begin their run in the second group phase at 3:30 PM. The Swedish team's matches have been pushed back - the lateness could possibly destroy the organization's chances to win the only CS: 1.6 title that has eluded them so far.

Bertin says the intention is to have their matches played out regardless of the hour at night.

"- The convention center is open 24 hours because of the BYOC LAN that is also going on. This allows us to play as late as we want," he said.

In his years with ESWC there has never been a situation where a player has been taken to the hospital because of a medical inccident.

"- It's the first time, yes."

Will the ESWC wait for SK to get five men ready to play?

"- Yes, we are going to wait for the team," the head referee said. And that should reassure the fans of Shroet Kommando.

Christian "vilden" Lidström
Long time team mate on Spawn's condition:

Vilden: - Haven't seen it before

Thus far there is no news about SK's "Spawn". Earlier this afternoon an episode happened where shortness of breath instigated a trip to a near by hospital.

"- He had an asthmatic episode a while ago but was given medicine - and that alleviated it," Nordlund said. According to "Tentpole" today's inccident was not helped by that medicine.

Retired SK star Christian "vilden" Lidström, a former team mate of "Spawn" is following the events from Sweden. He was shocked to hear about his condition.

"- I played with him for one and a half year," he said.

"- I can't remember seeing anything like that before."

Player monitor survey

"Conte" (Roccat): (Laughs) They are too big.

"LUq" (MYM): They are bad, but playable. We got used to equipment like this at Dreamhack.

"dsn" (Fnatic): They are terrible

"LeX" (Virtus.Pro): eeeh...I think that for a championship of this stature they have to realize, when there are professional competitors involved, they cannot use office equipment.

"moon" (Alternate ATTAX): It's not the worst. The size don't affect me but the quality of the monitors affect the way we have to play.
