Fnatic mounts unreal comeback:

Overtime hell for eSTRO

Despite almost pushing Fnatic completely off the cliff eSTRO could not afford to fall asleep. The job was not done and when they wasted a golden opportunity to win it, with the Swedes equipped with deagles only, eSTRO find themselves second guessing everything they did in regulation time as they stare down the barrel of the gun that is overtime. Fnatic, on the other hand, are elated to be given a second chance.

This has all the traditional markings of disaster for the lesser experienced eSTRO while the Swedes are in a perfect position to ride their newly discovered momentum into a final match with Meet Your Makers.

The first round of overtime just went live.

16:28 - bsl

eSTRO has 15 rounds to Fnatic's 8 - this means they have seven match points to secure a place in the 2008 ESWC final.

"f0rest" lags out in the 14th round

eSTRO - Fnatic controversy

With a score of 10 to 3 for the Koreans, Swedish star player Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg lags out in the beginning of the 14th round of the half. The tense semi final is paused as Fnatic manager Sam Matthews goes off to discuss the situation with the referees.

Apparantly Matthews fail to impress the staff with his views and the ruling is for the match to continue. This is controversial considering Lindberg's money situation at a vital point in the match which will ultimately decide the last finalist.

eSTRO are unfazed and continue their stellar CT play to close out the half. With the final half of the match live the Koreans are up by 13 rounds to 6. Fnatic has to pull out all the stops to be awarded another shot at a title they crave.

MYM just defeated Mousesports 2-0 (16-0, 16-7)

16:12 - bsl

Gotfrag's tournament area trooper Mark Cheben reports that Fnatic has just experienced a computer crash. How will this affect their money situation on the difficult and deciding third map against eSTRO.

16:10 - bsl

Fnatic have 3 terrorist rounds now, eSTRO's got 9 on the defense. MYM is up 12 to 7 against Mousesports.

16:01 - bsl

MYM are steamrolling Mousesports; the first half score is 10-5. eSTRO and Fnatic are at 4-1.
