Defending champions for the past two seasons will have their eyes set on a third championship and the only team to do so in CEVO Professional history. Currently they are 8 for 8 in CEVO playoff history and secured in the #1 seed for their quest to break more records.

The beginning of the season was a bit of a hiccup to their success after the 16-3 loss to Evil Geniuses in Week 1. Thereafter, X3O won the next 15 of 16 games and secured the #1 spot for several weeks. Unfortunately, the next time the two were paired to play later in the season, EG forfeitted. With EG taking the #3 seed, the only chance these two can meet will be in Upper Finals on Sunday if the two shall both advance.

Unlike MoB or EG, X3O has been able to keep their core roster to tackle another championship. It can be difficult to hold a team together because everyone's role is important. These guys have been in this position more than once and have not lost a playoff match yet.

Strengths: Consistency. Keeping their roster stable and being that they are close friends, their coordination and trust builds on. When it comes to those 2v3 or 2v4 rounds, they execute properly 90% of the time. They have shown dominance thus far and portrayed their chemistry when they used Perez as a stand-in for their GRT win earlier this year.

Weaknesses: MoB continues to be their kryptonite as X3O gave up 28 out of 57 rounds to them during the season. The two have met several times and will continue to read eachother even more as they progress. This new roster of MoB's could either make 'em or break 'em.

Prediction: First. Going by the statistics and just their style of play, X3O is the heavy favorite to win a third championship. I don't see them losing to coL or MoB in the Upper Bracket but will probably face EG in the finals.
