Top 3 Team Performances of the Playoffs

1. United States MoB - Putting up big numbers with their still newly formed roster, they come away from the Lower Bracket to acheive victory while eliminating EG and X3O in the process.
2. United States coL - They made it look easy with two big wins over EG and PoV to earn a finals spot quicker than expected. They came close in their first finals match to MoB but fell just short taking second and placing higher than the other teams who have been returning for a number of seasons.
3. United States PoV - After running over FD in the first round, PoV played their hearts out taking the rest of their 3 matches to 32 rounds or more; one of which resulted in X3O's quick drop to the Lower Bracket. They gave MoB a run for their money as well but fell short in overtime to take third place and $1,500.

Most Valuable Player: Matt "Lim" Beahan - For the first time this season, Beahan lead the board with an outstanding performance. After a four overtime loss to EG in the first round, Beahan made sure to finish strong. Top fragging in his final three matches and surpassing his teammates by at least 5 frags per game. His finals performance versus coL was just the icing on the cake as he rallied up 46 frags, 96.5 DAR, and a +10 frag/death ratio for both matches.

Surprise of the Playoffs: X3O - Well we can't say we haven't seen X3O not place top 2 because they lost in the Lower Bracket back in Season 6 to the old GB roster. This season will mark the worst they have ever placed in CEVO Professional. Not to mention, Ediz "goodfornothing" Basol was not in attendance for the playoffs either which brought up question on how they would perform. After three months of preperation time and being only four matches away from winning yet another season, X3O wasn't able to finish it off.

Stock Rising: MoB - This lineup definitely lived up to their expectations and suprised the nation to finally acheive for what they've been aching for. After winning 1 of their 7 remaining exhibition matches, they left off on a difficult note heading into the playoffs. While they didn't let that get to them, they were able to overcome a big first round loss and make five straight wins from the Lower Bracket to win Season 9.

Stock Falling: Evil Geniuses - After a good first round finish, their difficult loss to Complexity in the second around on de_dust2 pushed them to the Lower Bracket quicker than expected. Attempting to make their comeback, they came across de_tuscan and was then eliminated to MoB thereafter. EG will always be a top competitor but in the past two seasons of CEVO Professional, they have yet to place higher than 5th in playoffs.
