The competition is really starting to heat up here in Los Angeles. In the first of what could be many upsets of the weekend, 50 cal just took down MoB in Group play for WCG US Finals. Following a rough start in the first half, Jasper "sfX" Ko took the reigns and put on a clinic in the second half, with a personal score of 26-7. GotFrag was able to catch up with him right after the match for a quick interview.

You guys were really struggling on T side, barely scraping out four rounds. What was going on?

They were playing really aggressive. They were pushing a seemingly random spot each round, and just getting us on a flank. They seemed to have an answer for everything we tried.


Moving over to CT side things were completely different. You seemed to really click well together, and it showed with the resulting outcome. What happened and how did you guys turn things around?

On CT side, everything was on point. All of us were calling things and communicating extremely well. Everyone was doing everything right. We all did our part, and I steped up my game from the first half.


You were recently banned from ESEA for cheating. What happened, and why did you cheat?

I was pugging in an ESEA tournaent. We were losing to some random team called Chubby Chasers. I was really bored and didn't feel like playing any more, so I put on some cheats just to see what would happen and to see if ESEA would actually ban me.


What kind of backlash have you received as a result of that incident?

Well for starters everyone thinks I cheat all the time now, or that I have been. But I rarely do, only when I'm bored and never in leagues. I used to cheat back in the day, so I have a "cheating play style." I tend to prefire places and things. I don't really care. I am at every single LAN. Come see me.


Alright. You have some pretty big fish to fry coming up in EG, SK, etc. How do you think your team will fair in the rest of the competition?

I think we will definitely put up a challenge against any team we play. We have been practicing really hard and I think it shows.
