GotFrag takes a moment to talk with Josh "punkvillE" Dacus of Mug N' Mouse.

Mug N' Mouse has completed their second match of the day in the WCG Finals and looks to start strong in their ESL Extreme Masters debut. Mug N' Mouse in game leader Josh "punkvillE" Dacus has been leading his team throughout the day, with a rough start against EG only winning 11 rounds. MNM did have a chance to prove themselves however, which they didn't, against Team 34. GotFrag was able to pull him away from his hectic table to ask him a few questions about their performance.

You first match today was against EG in WCG group play in the US and you lost, only winning 11 rounds. What do you feel went wrong in that match for you guys?

To be honest with you, it was just a slow start to the tournament. I think our aim was on, we just didn't have the teamwork that you get after playing a few matches. They were a hard team to come up against first, but we played pretty solid I think. Just have to set the pace for the rest of the tournament.

Your next two opponents in group play for the WCG Finals are MoB and 50 Calibre. Which of those two do you think is a tougher opponent and why?

Probably MoB just because they have been winning things lately, even if it's just online. They're still consistently winning things and going to tournaments. I've heard 50 Calibre is pretty good, so who knows. To be honest, I'd rather play MoB first, before 50 Calibre. They're definitely the harder opponent.

If you happen to make it out of the group play here at the ESL Extreme Masters event, how do you feel about playing the international teams? Do you feel that their playstyle is so much different than than the American play-style? How have you prepared for that difference?

We want to play better opponents, that's why we come to these tournaments. We don't want to just play the same American teams we always play. For us, it would just be an experience to play them, but yeah we do have certain strats that we would change up for the European style because they're much more technical. They nade certain things that other people don't nade and check certain spots that other people don't check, so we'd change it up a little bit but still bring our main game.

One thing that many of the teams here don't have to think and worry about that you do is that you guys are competing in both the Extreme Masters and WCG events here. How do you feel about competing in two events at the same time? Playing back to back matches can really wear on a person, so how are you going to deal with that?
Honestly, we don't get to play a lot of CS, so for us it's awesome. We only play three times a week, so we kind of want to play a lot of matches here, we didn't really want to get up. I think with some of these teams, it probably would wear on them. x3o right now played WCG and they went straight into their EM play. Sometimes it's good for a CS player, if they're hot they can stay hot and keep head-shotting. Other than that, we look at is as a positive thing.

After these two events here, what are the future plans for Mug N' Mouse? Anything that you're looking forward to, possibly in 2009?

Right now we're still in the ESL online qualifier to go to Philadelphia, so hopefully we win that. Really, we try and play as fun and as competitively as we can. We don't play as much anymore, we have work and sports to attend to. We're probably just going to stick to the main scene, if there's a tournament near us, we'll go to it. If not, we won't. But no international events for the time being.

Thank you very much for you time. Is there any shout outs or people you'd like to thank?

Just the Mug N' Mouse LAN center!
