Ryan "NineSpot" Bell talks about POV's success during day one at e4all. ![]() You guys had a pretty successful first day, with the highlight coming in your win over mTw. What was your mindset heading into that match? Did you honestly think you would win? Heading into that match we had just lost to Roccat by a pretty big margin. It's not easy losing to a Euro team and then playing another who most consider better. We took the time before the match to regroup ourselves. I told the team to throw the match out of your head like a rotten tomato. In CS if you don't think you will win, you won't. Bottom line! What were the keys to winning that match? What did you do to make them happen? The biggest key was winning the first pistol round. That set up the momentum. Basically they faked a few different places, but we had the discipline to stay put until we really needed to. Another key was controlling the money throughout by making sure to win rounds immediately after we had lost one. This reset their bonuses and would force them to eventually save. The key to the second half was taking control back early after losing the pistol round. We bought up deagles and ended up taking the second round and setting the tone for the remainder of the match. You guys have seemingly become a top US team in a matter of weeks. What do you attribute your recent success to? I think what separates us from other teams is our friendships with each other. I know a lot of teams say they are friends out of game, but this is different. We know that no matter what happens, no one is going to blame you, and your teammates will always have your back. There is no pressure to perform. Looking ahead, do you think you can have a repeat performance against another Euro team? Yes. Otherwise what would be the point in even competing. We have to be more consistent through if we want to place well. With hero having a phenomenal game against mTw, do you think he will finally shake his online reputation? No, there will always be haters. Which teams would you absolutely love to play heading into day two? Pretty much any Euro teams would be great. I would really like to get another crack at Roccat. I know we are better than 27-3 and I think we need to show it.
