Counter-Strike: EvilZone loses CS team

By: Luis Mira - Published October 06, 2008 at 5:01 PM EDT - Writer Archive
EvilZone has confirmed the departure of the Counter-Strike team.
EvilZone was one of the sides on show at the DreamHack event last month, having crashed out of the WCG qualifier at the group stage, only to defeat SK Gaming and claim the Skellefteå trophy one day later.

The Swedish team has now decided to part ways with the EvilZone management following disagreements between both parties on some key issues.

"Well, to put it simply, we did not agree with the organisation on some things," Bjorn "threat" Pers told GotFrag.com. "There is nothing more to it."

The former EvilZone squad, now known as lanklan, is on the lookout for a new organisation to represent less than a week before its Extreme Masters debut against fnatic.

Lanklan has the following line-up:

Sweden Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund
Sweden Bjorn "threat" Pers
Sweden Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson
Sweden Finn "qp" Sjöström
Sweden Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström
