Counter-Strike: emuLate skips EM Montreal

By: Luis Mira - Published October 10, 2008 at 4:00 PM EDT - Writer Archive
emuLate has decided to cancel its participation in the upcoming Extreme Masters Global Challenge in Canada.
The 2007 World Cyber Games champion has decided to not attend the Montreal EM Global Challenge stop despite having previously confirmed its attendance.

This is the second event in a row that emuLate decides to skip after cancelling its participation in the Los Angeles' event less than a month ago.

Although Mathieu "R!Go-" Bridet confirmed to GotFrag.com at that time that emuLate would still attend the Montreal and Dubai events, for which the team had already signed up, the French side has now decided to drop out of the first one for undisclosed reasons a week before its start.

emuLate's participation at Extreme Masters Dubai thus remains very much subject to conjecture.

Meanwhile, the ESL has added three teams to the attendees' list, two from the United States and one from Canada, making it a ten-team provisional roster that looks as follows:

United States Evil Geniuses
United States team j1n
United States Check-Six
Canada Dynamo
Canada Evil Geniuses
Canada NoPression
Canada Sway Gaming
Sweden fnatic
Sweden SK Gaming
Brazil Made in Brazil
