By: Luis Mira - Published October 14, 2008 at 1:26 PM EDT - Writer Archive
The group draw for Montreal's Extreme Masters Global Challenge took place this afternoon, with fnatic and x3o being drawn in the same group.
This year's U.S. WCG representative will have a hard task to progress to the playoffs after the group draw paired it with fnatic and local rival team j1n.

The winner of the Los Angeles' tournament, SK Gaming, was drawn in Group C, having to go head-to-head with Canadian side Sway Gaming.

Evil Geniuses' U.S. squad face a testing match at the group stage against Check-Six, while the Canadian line-up will take on none other than Made in Brazil.

The first and second-placed teams from each group automatically progress to the knockout stages.

Group A:

United States Evil Geniuses
United States Check Six
Canada North Stars United

Group B:

Brazil Made in Brazil
Canada Evil Geniuses
Canada Dynamo

Group C:

Sweden SK Gaming
Canada Sway Gaming
To be announced

Group D:

Sweden fnatic
United States x3o
United States team j1n

The tournament will begin on Saturday at 00.00 CET so stay tuned to GotFrag.com for all the info concerning the Montreal Extreme Masters Challenge.
