Counter-Strike: Archi: "expecting a spot in the finals"

By: Rob Maher - Published October 18, 2008 at 5:32 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Archi speaks with GotFrag about their match with Gravitas, as well as their recent travel schedule.

Archi, you guys seem to have some sort of rivalry against Gravitas Gaming as you seem to always face off against each other in group play and even then you find yourself sitting face to face during the matches. Talk to us about this match, how did you guys win by so much when previous matches against Gravitas ended as close as 16-12.

We've had some time to prepare after our disappointment over at LA. Even if we didn't get as much practice as we wanted since we've been staying in LA for 2 weeks, we're really hungry for a first place after 2 disappointing events.

You also seemed to be on fire holding that upper site. Did you feel on top of your game despite having no time to practice?

We didn't have the opportunity to practice as a team during our stay in LA. But we did manage to get a lot of individual training playing a lot of aim maps and such. I feel in really good shape despite everything.

Now you guys also seem to have a busy schedule as you fly out immediately after Montreal to do Extreme Masters Dubai. How do you guys cope with the different time zones when your sleep schedule is so different?

It's hard at times. But we've been going on like this for 3 years and we're quite used to it. If you have a hard time sleeping at night you just have to get a couple of power naps in between games, like I did today :P

How confident are you now moving into the brackets?

Our first game against gravitas felt really good. If we keep up the same game as this first one, we're definitely expecting a spot in the finals.

Any shoutouts you would like to give?

I want to thank all our sponsors and both our head managers, Sam and Anne for making this little world tour possible! Cheers!
