Things did not look good for MYM in Day 1 following a 16-13 defeat to local squad Dragon, which left the ESWC champion in a must-win situation against fnatic.

And fnatic - who had also endured defeat in the opening day of competition - would not make things easy for MYM.

Starting as CT, fnatic won the pistol round, but a well-planned round by MYM saw the Polish level the game. It was thought that MYM would take the lead but an impressive four-frag show by Harley "dsn" Orwall put fnatic back in the lead.

The rest of the first-half would be pretty much a one-way street from then as MYM was never able to stamp its authority on the game, making it 12-3 in favour of fnatic.

MYM tried hard to get back into the game in the second-half but fnatic proved to be too good for the EM Dubai runner-up, winning the game 16-10.
