(Cologne, Germany) - A total of 78 countries across five continents are represented in the 2008 edition of the World Cyber Games, the biggest number since the first event was held in 2000.

The Counter-Strike tournament will begin with a group stage, which will see the winner and runner-up of each group progressing to the 16-team knockout stage, to begin on Saturday.
